How to Run a Successful Bottle Drive in Spruce Grove (Step-by-Step)

A bottle drive fundraiser is one of the simplest, lowest-cost ways for a school class, sports team, scout troop, or charity to raise money in the Tri-Region. There's no product to sell and no upfront cost — your community already has the empties. Here's how to run one start to finish.

1. Pick your dates and book

Decide whether you want a single-day push or a collection that runs over a few weeks. Then book your bottle drive with us — it's free, and you can schedule any day for an on-site drop-off or a free trailer booking.

2. Spread the word

Give your community two weeks' notice. Post in school newsletters, team group chats, and local Facebook groups. Tell people they can drop bagged cans and bottles at your collection point — no need to sort.

3. Collect and stage the bags

Set up a garage, classroom corner, or trailer as your drop point. Keep bags off the ground and out of the rain. If you expect a big haul, we can arrange free pickup for orders over $50 within 15 km.

4. We count, sort, and pay

Bring the load to the depot (or we'll pick it up). We run everything through our Tomra Essential Line for an accurate count. For bottle drives we pay by e-transfer or cheque once the count is done — usually about two weeks.
